First Visit FAQ's
Q: What is the process to becoming a new patient?
A: First, we will work together to figure out a time/day in our schedules that works for the both of us. From there, we will email you the new patient forms that can be filled out electronically (no printing needed!) which are required to be completed before the first appointment. These forms will help the doctor prepare for the exam he performs on the first visit.
Q: What happens on the first visit?
A: The doctor will perform a thorough exam going over your history and any concerns listed on your intake form. The doctor will perform a physical and neurological exam to check your range of motion/mobility and to help determine the source of your complaint. He will then go over his findings from his exam and the treatment he recommends.
Q: Will I be treated on my first visit?
A: YES! Once the exam determines the source of your complaint, treatment can begin on the same day!
Q: Is there anything I need to bring to my first visit?
A: We ask that you bring your insurance card and driver’s license (or photo ID) that we can scan in.
Q: Do I need to wear anything specific to my appointment?
A: The comfier the better, but if you do have jeans/work pants on during your treatment, we can usually work with it! We do ask that anyone wearing a dress/skirt brings a pair of shorts to wear underneath while being treated.
Q: Do I need a referral from my primary care doctor to see you?
A: Referrals from your PCP are not required to be seen at our office!
Q: Do you do x-rays at your office?
A: We do not do x-rays at our office, however if the doctor does an exam and finds that it’s necessary to get an x-ray, he will provide a referral to the closest imaging center that you may go to before starting treatment.
Billing FAQ's
Q: What insurances do you accept?
A: We accept most big commercial insurances such as BlueCross BlueShield, Aetna Healthcare, United Healthcare, MVP, etc. There are some affiliates to these insurance companies that we do not accept, so to be 100% sure, please call our office to verify that we accept your policy!
Q: How much is the first visit?
A: This all depends on your insurance and what policy you’re a part of. We are more than happy to look up your policy and give you a quote over the phone that will give you a better idea! Please note, the estimates provided are NOT a guarantee of coverage and benefits will officially be determined when we receive claims back from insurance. If you do not have insurance coverage, please call our office to get an idea of what our office rates are!
Q: Do you collect copays the same day as treatment? Or bill me later?
A: Payment for services provided at this office is collected at the time of service. We do not bill a patient after claims are processed, so please be sure to call ahead of time to get an idea of what the out-of-pocket expenses are for your appointment to be prepared.
Q: What is your cancellation policy?
A: We do require 24 hours’ notice if you are unable to attend your appointment. If we do not receive the proper amount of notice, there may be a $50 no show fee that will need to be paid before scheduling a future appointment.
